Term 3

We have had a very busy term so far. Our class has been involved in lots of activities, inter schools swimming (well done Will), and other children have been practising for dance splash and art splash. (Khama, Maddie, Sophie, Mikayla and Miriama) good luck with those this week.
Three students have been part of our gardening club on a Friday. They work with Mrs Tito learning about growing vegetables and the right times to plant them, tending to our planter boxes around the school, cooking the produce that they grow and writing the recipes out for them.  Mya, Bailey and Jaeden have really enjoyed being part of that.
We have had Brendan teaching us about basketball.  We loved learning about passing, dribbling and shooting. He's a great teacher. We played games against each other and had warm up activities. Our favourite was when Brendan said shark, ship, and port. We had to run and dribble the ball or stand like a shark with the ball between our legs. It was fun. Another one was red light green light. When he turned his back, we dribbled towards him and the hoop. When he turned around, we had to stop or we went back to the start. Closest one to the hoop took the shot.
We have been learning about sustainability and how to look after our environment.  This has been really interesting.
We had this cool guy from ASB teaching us about money too.  We learnt that we can pay ourself and save some too.
Here are some photos to enjoy.
