Week 3

Hi there

A few reminders for you.  Capital E forms and money to be handed in as well as students information forms to be retuned asap please.  Tonight is the family picnic at 5.30pm.  Looking forward to meeting you all and answering any questions you may have.

Home learning is up and running so all students should be bringing home a book to read, spelling and basic facts to complete.

On a lighter note we have been learning heaps of new tennis skills.  Here are some photo's for you to enjoy.

Week 2

We have had a very exciting week.  We have spent a lot of time getting to know one another and sharing holiday stories with each other. We have been learning about rules and routines in Room 2 also.  Yesterday we started our non-stop cricket competition during our lunch time.  We played against Room 3 and won 36/34.  We also won the fair play points.  Excellent work Room 2!!!

 We have started tennis today and we know how to bounce, hit the ball and swing our racquet correctly.  Tom is our tennis expert and he will be teaching us new skills over the next few weeks.  We really enjoyed tennis and Tom is awesome.

A home learning sheet has been sent home this week for your child to complete.  Next week we will be starting spelling and basic facts as well as continuing our reading.  Don't forget the Trentham challenges also.

Notices about our Capital E trip have been sent home and these need to be completed and sent back to school by the 3rd March.

Next week we have our family picnic.  This is held on Wednesday 18th February at 5.30pm.  Bring some tea and come play some games on the junior field.  There will be an opportunity to come into the classroom and look at what your child has done in class and to meet the teacher also.  Looking forward to seeing you there!
