Marae Visit

Last week Matau and patu Syndicate went to Orongomai Marae to look at their tukutuku panels.  We listened to the stories that represented the different panels. We listened to karakia and sang a waiata . Room 2 came back with some awesome ideas and from our own ideas we have come up with a brilliant design that represents us.  Thank you to the parents that are going to help us with our weaving.   Mrs Garner will be in contact next week with a roster/time that suits you.  Meanwhile enjoy the lovely photos we took.

Term 4

Hi all. It is hard to believe that we are in term four already.  The year has flown by.  I have a few reminders for you such as our Marae visit on Monday to look at tuku tuku patterns. We are getting inspiration to help design our own panels for our new school hall.  I will be looking for help with this when we have come up with our design so if there is anyone who is good at sewing, weaving or craft work with spare time on their hands please contact me.
We have swimming in weeks 4,5 and 6.  If you can help out here I would love to hear from you. Students will need togs, towel and a swimming cap.  You can purchase these at the school office.
We have the food fiesta  coming up in week 5.  Room 2 will be making a piΓ±ata for this starting next week. We would love to see you all there on the night supporting Trentham School and enjoying the yummy treats, activities and crafts on offer.
Our syndicate will be thinking of an end of year outing to do with the students and will send home information about this closer to the time.
The Christmas celebration will be happening in December and that will be another great opportunity for you to join us in singing and enjoying your child perform for the last time this year.
A very busy but exciting term ahead! Looking forward to working with your children and enjoying the next few weeks we have left together.
Any queries or questions about this term please don't hesitate to contact me.
Regards
Angela Garner

Circus Day

Our last week of school has been a lot of fun. We finished it off with a circus fun day. We were able to visit other classes and play the games and do the activities that they had. Plus we glad to do this with our buddy class. In room 2 we had a frog on the lily pad game, where you threw the frogs onto the lily pads. Each lily pad had a score and you had to total the scores. We had the lion tamer where you threw lions through a hoop. We had some circus art activities to colour in and we had musical statues. Here are the photos.
