Measurement

This term we are learning about measurement - area, length, height.  We wanted to know how many year 4 students could fit in a 1 metre square area. Check out the photos because you will be amazed!

We estimated between 6 and 12 people but we managed to get 16 students in the square. AMAZING!!!

This is us when we are not in the square.

Whe also measured and estimated the height of our buddy and things around the classroom.

Finally we had to line up from shortest to tallest without talking. That was hard but we did it!  Riley is the shortest and Jaeden is the tallest.

AWESOME WORK ROOM 2!!!

Week 11

The last week of the term and boy did we have fun!  First there was the asthma show. A very interactive show that taught us everything we need to know about asthma. We met Chris and Sailor the Puffer Fish who sang us songs and answered all our questions.

Then we were learning about positions and mapping during maths so we went outside and marked key landmarks on our school map eg. Flagpole, water tank, bike stands, junior and senior playgrounds.  We did this in small groups.

Lots of fun!

On Thursday Cooper came to visit. He belongs to Mrs Garner. He is so cute and a really friendly dog. He has grown heaps and is almost 10 months old.

We finished off our week making mini hotdogs and watching a movie 'Garfield' which was really cool. We did this as we got over 1000 points as a whole class through our dojo points.  Yay us.  All in all we have had a pretty busy but awesome term.  Roll on Term 2.πŸŽ‰πŸŒπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜‹πŸ˜„
